[cobirds] RMBO Barr Banding Station Report, 9/25/12

Today was slow and short.  Not a lot of birds around, and we shut down early as it started to drizzle.  A “big bird” day – first time I can remember having a Blue Jay and Flicker in the hand at the same time.  Very noisy (both of them).  Here’s the breakdown of the 13 new captures:

Red-shafted Flicker         1

Blue Jay                1

House Wren       1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet   1

Hermit Thrush   1

Gray Catbird       2

Orange-crowned Warbler            1

Gambel’s White-crowned Sparrow          1

House Sparrow 4 (Again, caught at the Nature Center “feeder” nets)

Closed tomorrow (Wed, 9/26).  Next week, we are closed Mon (10/1) because we will be open that evening for a career day program, and our day off is Thurs (10/4).  Otherwise, open daily, weather permitting.
