[cobirds] Bugs & birds

Dave Leatherman's explanation of the leaf miners that SeEtta reported on and his dissertations about psyllids and hackberries provide us with information that we don't find in bird field guides. What birds eat explains a lot of what they do. And if the critters can't find food, they can't survive. Having at least a modicum of bird-nutrition information helps us to become better birders and to understand their movements a little bit more.

We should acknowledge publicly -- and personally -- and often -- contributions to our wider knowledge of Colorado birds that this kind of information on Cobirds adds. How special to have this resource. Cobirds enjoys the support of many skilled photographers, people with amazing nighttime ears & knowledge, dedicated conservationists, one appreciated moderator, and this one entomologist who shares his knowledge so articulately. Thanks to all of you.

Remember to thank people for posts that you value.
