Saturday 9/29/12 was bright clear calm morning for banding at Clear Springs Ranch (CSR).*
The weather was too nice J
We banded 21 new birds of 7 different species.
We had 5 recaptures: 4 from this Fall, local plus one GWCS originally banded 9/25/11 as a HY U was a AHY male on recap
Our list:
Black-capped Chickadee, 1
Chipping Sparrow, 3
Gambel’s White-crowned Sparrow, 5
Lincoln’s Sparrow, 3
Orange-crowned Warbler, 5
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 1
Spotted Towhee, 3
26 birds processed.

Who roosts at 8500' near Woodland Park CO
*Clear Springs Ranch is an area managed by Colorado Springs Utilities, about
10 miles south of Colorado Springs.
Take I25 to exit 123, follow signs to parking lot east of side of freeway.
It is open on a limited basis (walk-in only) to the general public.
