[cobirds] report from Wednesday 9/26/12 morning banding at Clear Springs Ranch

Cobirders:

 

It was a nice Fall morning but slow banding at Clear Springs Ranch (CSR).*

We banded 5 new birds of 3 different species.

We had 7 recaptures from earlier this Fall.

 

Our list:    

Blue Jay, 1

Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow, 3

Hermit Thrush, 1

Plus Recaptures:

Banded at CSR this Fall, Local: 

Lincoln's Sparrow, 3;

Hermit Thrush, 1

Gambel’s White-crowned Sparrow, 3

(all had increased fat and gained weight J

*Clear Springs Ranch is an area managed by Colorado Springs Utilities, about

10 miles south of Colorado Springs.

Take I25 to exit 123, follow signs to parking lot east of side of freeway.

It is open on a limited basis (walk-in only) to the general public.
