Birders
Here is a photo of a Field Sparrow (yard bird #144) that showed up this evening at the house. It is very gray and resembles the drawing in Sibley of the western "gray" population.
He/she is keeping company with a Chipping Sparrow and at least 8 Lazuli Buntings.
I'm afraid I have to restrict access to the backyard unless I'm home because we got another dog, Gracie, and she barks a lot. My "neighbor" to the south has already called the police because of her barking. Call me to see if I'm home. Most of you have my numbers and if you don't I'm sure someone you know does or email me back.
