[cobirds] Migrants at CSR, El Paso Co, Mon

Hey COBirders,

Today saw a very good arrival of migrants at Clear Spring Ranch. 32 birds banded today. This was a day for "big birds" - especially Bullock's Oriole. I banded 12, but probably saw in excess of 30 moving through the area from 6:30-11:00 (and I only see about 25% of the corridor from my vantage). Also arriving were a male Black-headed Grosbeak and 2 Gray Catbirds banded in previous years and each recaptured multiple times since. One catbird was banded as an adult in 2014, and recaptured here in 2017, 2018, 2021.

Also
FOY Willow Flycatcher Ad
FOY Western Tanager Ad M  (sounds like they were about everywhere on the Front Range today)
FOY Lazuli Bunting Ad F, (but males area around as well as male Blue Grosbeaks, both as yet uncaptured).
Warbling Vireo (SY)
N Waterthrush Ad (#4 this week)
and various Com Yellowthroat, Yellow Warbler, YB Chats, Catbirds, and House Wrens.

This was my best day for numbers banded this spring. Very encouraging.

Happy Migration,
Steve Brown
