[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report Chico Basin Ranch - 9/14/18

Today I closed nets early due to the heat, but I still banded 50 birds of 11 species. I finally caught the season's first two Lazuli Buntings, which have been hanging around the station for a while. On my way out I spotted a lone Pink-sided Junco, so hopefully I'll catch some juncos soon.

Here is the summary of newly banded birds for the day:
Yellow Warbler: 2
Wilson's Warbler: 27
Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 1
Hammond's Flycatcher: 2
House Wren: 3
Orange-crowned Warbler: 7
Chipping Sparrow: 1
Lazuli Bunting: 2
Lincoln's Sparrow: 3
Green-tailed Towhee: 1
American Robin: 1

You are welcome to visit the banding station. I'll be banding through the first week of October and nets will be open 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday). This week I am opening nets at 6:40 and banding until 11:40 weather permitting.
