Folks,
The Red Phalarope and jaeger continue at Chatfield. I lost track of the Phalarope a while ago, but I've been following the jaeger. The jaeger may be a Long-tailed, but I am leaning towards Parasitic for the following reasons. It seems warm, cinamon-looking. The bill appears long with a small, dark nail. I see more than two shafts of white from above at times. That said, it is never close to shore and unviewable from the south side of the lake due to all of the closures.
Lastly, I have had a juvenile, Eastern Towhee visiting my feeders in Castle Rock since early this morning.
