There was a lot more activity today compared to yesterday. I especially had a big increase in Wilson's Warblers. I banded 53 birds of 12 species.
-- Here's the summary of newly banded birds for the day:
Wilson's Warbler: 31
Orange-crowned Warbler: 8
Dusky Flycatcher: 2
Chipping Sparrow: 1
Lincoln's Sparrow: 1
Pink-sided Junco: 1
Hermit Thrush: 3
Song Sparrow: 1
Gray Catbird: 2
Spotted Towhee: 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 1
You are welcome to visit the banding station. I'll be banding through the first week of October and nets will be open 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday). This week I'm opening nets at 6:50 and banding until 11:50 weather permitting.
