ADAMS COUNTY:

—-On May 25 an Ovenbird was reported at Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR by Kim Mauritz.


BENT COUNTY:

—-On May 24 (2) Tennessee and a Chestnut-sided Warbler were reported at Van's Grove by Duane Nelson.


BROOMFIELD COUNTY:

—- On May 27 a Scarlet Tanager was reported by Chris Petrizzo in his yard.

This would be the first county record of this "Black-winged Redbird". The bird 

was probably not still there, but if you want to try fo it, the best bet is walking the southern perimeter of Lac Amora Open Space, parallel to Rock Creek Drive. Park on Oak Circle & walk into the Open Space.


BOULDER COUNTY:

—-On May 26 a Magnolia Warbler was reported at Boulder Creek/Univ. of CO by Richard Trinkner.

—-On May 25 a HERMIT WARBLER was reported at Varsity Pond North End, best seen at the corner of University and 17th.  First reported On May 24 by Steve Larson.

—-On May 25 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Twin Lakes by Pablo Quezada.


CHAFFEE COUNTY:

—-On May 26 a Magnolia Warbler was reported at 28700 County Road 304 in Buena Vista by Zach Millen.

—-On May 25 a Northern Waterthrush was reported at Sands Lake SWA by Greg Mihalik.


DOUGLAS COUNTY:

—-On May 27 a Scarlet Tanager was reported visiting suet feeders in Louviers near 1st and Elm. First reported May 26 by Tom Halverstadt.


EL PASO:

—-On May 25  Wood Thrush was reported by the DFO field trip at Chico Basin Ranch—wooded areas (fee area).

—-On May 25 a Gray-cheeked Thrush was reported at Chico Basin Banding Area by Duwayne Worthington.

—-On May 25 a Tennessee Warbler was reported at Chico Basin Banding Station by Luke Pheneger. 

—-On May 25 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Bear Creek Nature Center  (on the song bird trail) by Eric Storms.

—-On May 25 a Gray-cheeked Thrush was reported at Chico Basin Banding Area by Duwayne Worthington.

—-On May 24 a MOURNING WARBLER was reported at Chico Basin Ranch wooded area by Cody Ensanian. 


FREMONT COUNTY:

—-On May 25 a Summer Tanager was reported at Brush Hollow Reservoir by Susan Blansett. 


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—-On May 27 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Chatfield State Park/Audubon Center & Trails; first reported by Claire H.

—-On May 25 a Summer Tanager was reported at Main Reservoir. First reported on May 24 by Joe Roller.

—-On May 25 a Hooded Warbler was reported at Main Reservoir 100 yds west of the south parking lot.  First reported on May 22 by Ric Olson.

—-On May 24 a Gray-cheeked Thrush was reported at Chatfield SP/Audubon Nature Center & Trails by Michael Lester.

 —-On May 24 a Blackpoll Warbler was reported at Leyden Lake by James McCall.


LARIMER COUNTY:

—-On May 27 a Mourning Warbler was reported at Dixon Reservoir by Robert Beauchamp.

—-On May 26 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Matthews-Reeser Bird Sanctuary at Lake Estes by James Nelson.

—-on May 26 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at 50318-50836 Poudre Canyon Rd in Bellevue by Sondler Selvig. 

—-On May 26 a Great Crested Flycatcher was reported at Running Deer & Cottonwood Hallow Natural Areas by Robert Beauchamp.

—-On May 26 (2) BAIRD'S SPARROW were reported at Soapstone Prairie Natural Area.  First reported on May 13 by Andy Bankert.

—-On May 27 a COMMON GALLINULE was reported from Wellington State Wildlife Area, first seen by Josh Bruening on April 29. This rarity was at a pond north of Larimer CR 60 in the Schware Unit. (Note that this is not Morris Reservoir, which is on the south side of 60).

—-On May 24 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Wellington SWA/Cobb Lake Unit (near east parking lot).  First reported on May 18 by Phillip Bailey.

—-On May 23 a MOURNING WARBLER was reported at Lee Martinez Park (last seen next to ditch on north side of bike path).  First reported on May 19 by David Wade.

—-On May 23 a Gray-cheeked Thrush was reported at Spring Canyon Com-munity Park by Nick Komar.


LOGAN COUNTY:

—-On May 25 a Gray-cheeked Thrush was reported at Tamarack Ranch SWA by Loch Kilpatrick.


OTERO COUNTY:

—-On May 27 a singing Painted Bunting and a Vermilion Flycatcher were reported on the Higbee Valley Rd by Eric DeFonso.


 PROWERS COUNTY: 

—-On May 27 a WHITE-TAILED KITE was photographed by Jill White Smith near Prowers CRs 31 and KK. It then flew away to the north. The message was relayed by Cathy Sheeter. If accepted by the CBRC, this would be the first Colorado record documented with a photograph.


PUEBLO COUNTY: 

—-On May 27 a long-staying Yellow-throated Warbler was reported at Roselawn Cemetery in Blende, near the west entrance off Aspen Street.  First reported on May 11 by Evan Carlson.

—-On May 25  Wood Thrush was reported at Chico Basin Ranch—Headquarters (fee area) by Mark Amershek.


ROUTT COUNTY:

—-On May 27 a Prothonotary Warbler was reported behind the Yampa River Botanic Park, between the Core Trail gate into the park and the Osprey nest pole.  First reported on May 22 by Dave and Ann Jones.


WELD COUNTY:

—-On May 27 a Magnolia Warbler was reported at Crow Valley Campground. First reported by Laura Steadman on May 26.

—-On May 25 a RED KNOT (in mostly winter plumage) was reported at Stewart's Pond by Doug Kibbe.

—-On May 25 a Black-billed Cuckoo was reported at Poudre Ponds by Steve Mlodinow.

—-On May 25 a Long-tailed Duck was reported at Firestone Gravel Ponds (smaller pond) by Steve Mlodinow. This is the only eBird record after May 15.

—-On May 24 a Red Phalarope was reported at Baxter Lake, on east side of county line road, a mile or so south of CR 56. Park on Wilfred Road, cross county line road with care, and find a safe place to scan from.  Reported by Steve Mlodinow.

—-On May 24 a Snowy Plover was reported at Crom Lake by Grant Beauprez.

—-On May 24 a Green Heron was reported at Neff Lake & Hogarty Reservoir Area by Gene Rutherford.

—-On May 24 a Northern Cardinal was reported at Pawnee NG/Norma's Grove by Gene Rutherford.


YUMA COUNTY:

—-On May 26 a Mourning Warbler was seen at Hale Ponds by David Dowell.

—-On May 26 an EASTERN MEADOWLARK was reported southwest of the CR3 /Hwy 385 Intersection. First reported on May 12 by David Dowell.
