Two male bobolinks were present today in the fields east of Cherry Vale opposite the entrance to the former HQs of the city's open space office. The space may not meet the demands of city staff, but the bobolinks seem to find it quite suitable. This is also an area where Ute's Lady Tresses can be found, in among the prolific poison ivy plants. The orchids won't flower for 2 months from now, something to look for after the bobolinks start moving out. The birds were there this afternoon around 3:30.
