Nice to see the sun again, although it means fewer birds around. I hope it also means the birds can begin to recover from the impact of the recent storms and cold weather. We caught 33 new birds today:
-- Northern Flicker, Red-shafted 1 (FOS)
Western Wood-pewee 1
Willow Flycatcher 1
Dusky Flycatcher 2
Warbling Vireo 1 new, 1 banded 2016
House Wren 1
Swainson's Thrush 8
Cedar Waxwing 1 new, 1 banded 2018 (first time we've ever recaught a CEDW from a prior season)
Yellow Warbler 5 new, 1 banded 2016
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Wilson's Warbler 2
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Western Tanager 1
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Lesser Goldfinch 2
Tomorrow is our last day; we will take down the station after banding, my guess is we will start take-down about 11 a.m.
