Lots of open water and birds along this route: Weld CR 124 Pond, Weld CR 122 Pond, Hwy 392 Pond, Lonetree Water Treatment Facility, Weld CR 59, Loloff Reservoir, Latham Reservoir (frozen)-area, Weld CR 48 has lots of water on south, Arrowhead Lake, Bittersweet Park, F St Ponds, 35th Ave Ponds (E and W), O St Ponds, Seeley Lake, Neuman's Lake, Neff Lake, Windsor Lake, Woods Lake, Crom Lake.
Total of 51 species seen. Highlights:

- Rough-legged Hawk - 7 (6 along Weld CR 124, one dark morph on Hwy 77)
- Herring Gull - 9 (Bittersweet Park, Seeley Lake and Neff Lake)
- Prairie Falcon and Golden Eagle (Weld CR 45)
- 16 species of duck
- Snow Goose - 2 (35th Ave West Pond)
- Greater White-fronted Goose - 4 (Neff Lake)
- Woods Lake (loaded with ducks, geese); Seeley Lake (loaded with gulls)
