[cobirds] Ominous sign in Allenspark (Boulder County)

The ominous sign was a ReMax "For Sale" sign in front of the Fawn Brook Inn. The owner drove up while we were there today and I thanked him for feeding the birds, especially Rosy Finches all these years. But of course this will be the end of the Rosy Finches and Evening Grosbeaks (I saw 28 there once in bright sunlight) unless the new owners happen to be bird feeders. Anybody out there want to buy it?

By the way he mentioned that it is now way too warm for Rosies. He said they do not come at all unless it is below 30 degrees. Indeed in mid afternoon at 38 degrees the place was almost bird-less.

Sadly,  Bob Shade, Lakewood
