---On January 31 at Aurora Reservoir, Diane Roberts reported White-winged Scoter, 2 1-st cyc Mew Gulls, 2 Thayer's Gulls, and 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. On February 1 at Aurora Reservoir, Bob Righter reported White-winged Scoter. On February 5 at Aurora Reservoir, Mike McCloy and Libby Megna reported White-winged Scoter, Thayer's Gull, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and 1-st cyc Great Black-backed Gull.
---On January 29 at Cooley Lake in South Platte Park, David Suddjian reported 1-st cyc Lesser Black-backed Gull.
---On January 31 at South Platte Park, Amy Darling reported Double-crested Cormorant.
---On February 4 at McLellen Reservoir, Ben Sampson and many other birders reported Dunlin. McLellen is in both Arapahoe and Douglas County, but mostly in Arapahoe. Only the SE portion of McLellen is in Douglas.

---On January 31, Bill Kaempfer reported 4 Tundra Swans at Cottonwood Marsh.
---On January 23 at Bohn Park in Lyons, David Dowell reported Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. On January 29 at Bohn Park in Lyons, Nick Moore reported Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Red-naped Sapsucker. On January 31, Steve Mlodinow reported Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Red-naped Sapsucker at Bohn Park in Lyons.
---On February 4 at Hecla Lake in Louisville, Steve Frye reported f Mallard (Mexican intergrade).

---On February 3, John Rawinski reported all three species of Rosy-Finches at Hostettlers on south Gunbarrel (CR 15). Go one mile past end of pavement on east side of road.
DENVER COUNTY:
---On January 26 at Washington Park, Aaron Tucker reported 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers. On January 27 at Washington Park, Aaron Tucker, Jason Bidgood, Joe Roller, Doug Kibble, Mark Obmascik, Rebecca Laroche, sand Lock Kilpatrick reported Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. On January 28, Tom Behnfield reported that many birders saw the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Washington Park. On February 4, Chuck Hundertmark reported imm Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Washington Park.
DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On December 27, Jeff Beavers reported Trumpeter Swan at Chatfield. The Swan can be seen by going upstream from Kingfisher Bridge to Pond 5 or from High Line Canal Trail accessed from Titan Road. On January 31, Tim Ryan reported Trumpeter Swan from upstream of Kingfisher Bridge. On February 4, Gloria Nikolai and Christian Nune reported Trumpeter Swan from High Line Canal Trail and Titan Road and Hugh Kingery reported Trumpeter Swan from upstream from Kingfisher Bridge.
---On January 24 at McLellen Reservoir, SE Corner and High Line Canal Trail, Gregg Goodrich reported Dunlin. On January 31 at McLellen Reservoir, David Suddjian, Aaron Shipe, Aaron Tucker, Mackenzie Goldthwait, and Frank Farrell reported Dunlin. On February 1 at McLellen Reservoir, Loch Kilpatrick and Mary O'Connor reported Dunlin and Loch reported Lesser Black-backed Gull. On February 3 at McLelland Reservoir, Joey Kellner reported Dunlin. Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, February 11 will be to Delaney Community Farm led by A.J. Gest (offsetaj AT comcast.net; 303-994-2420). This trip is full.
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, February 12 will be Cherry Creek SP Wetlands Loop led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com; 303=941-4881). Meet at 0900 at Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek Sp. From either park entrance, follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is located at the south rim of the reservoir. Sate Parks pass or day pass required.
This is a half day of walking that passes through most of the important habitats found in the park over a distance of about 3 miles. trails could be slippery or muddy, so dress accordingly. Bring water and snacks; lunch is optional. Beginning birders are welcome. Register online or contact leader.
