ADAMS COUNTY:
---On February 7, Norm Lewis reported 3 Barrow's Goldeneyes on South Platte River near 78th Ave.  
---On February 7 at Barr Lake State Park, Lorraine Lanning reported ad Great Black-backed Gull.
---On February 7, Dan Stringer reported 7 Great-tailed Grackles on E 136th, E of I-76 near Barr Lake.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
---On February 5 at Aurora Reservoir, Mike McCloy and Libby Megna reported White-winged Scoter, Thayer's Gull, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and 1-st cyc Great Black-backed Gull.  On February 6, Diane Roberts and Tim Ryan reported White-winged Scoter and Lesser Black-backed Gull at Aurora Reservoir.
---On February 4 at McLellen Reservoir, Ben Sampson and many other birders reported Dunlin.  McLellen is in both Arapahoe and Douglas County, but mostly in Arapahoe.  Only the SE portion of McLellen is in Douglas.  

BENT COUNTY:
---On February 5 at John Martin Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported 9 American White Pelicans, 20 Lapland Longspurs, and EASTERN (Lilian's) MEADOWLARK.

BOULDER COUNTY:
---On February 4 at Hecla Lake in Louisville, Steve Frye reported f Mallard (Mexican intergrade).
---On February 5 at Boulder Reservoir, Ted Floyd reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.  On February 6 at Boulder Reservoir, Ted Floyd and David Waltman reported 1-st cyc Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 1-st cyc Thayer's Gull.

CHAFFEE COUNTY:
---On February 5 at Sands Lake SWA, Christian Hagenlocher reported 7 Barrow's Goldeneyes and 6 Great-tailed Grackles.  On February 6 at Sands Lake SWA, Nancy davis reported 2 Barrow's Goldeneyes and 10 Great-tailed Grackles.
---On February 5 at CR 163 pond, Christian Hagenlocher reported 2 Tundra Swans.

CONEJOS COUNTY:
---On February 3, John Rawinski reported all three species of Rosy-Finches at Hostettlers on south Gunbarrel (CR 15).  Go one mile past end of pavement on east side of road.

DENVER COUNTY:
---On January 26 at Washington Park, Aaron Tucker reported 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers. On January 27 at Washington Park, Aaron Tucker, Jason Bidgood, Joe Roller, Doug Kibble, Mark Obmascik, Rebecca Laroche, sand Lock Kilpatrick reported Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.  On January 28, Tom Behnfield reported that many birders saw the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Washington Park.  On February 4, Chuck Hundertmark reported imm Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Washington Park.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On December 27, Jeff Beavers reported Trumpeter Swan at Chatfield.  The Swan can be seen by going upstream from Kingfisher Bridge to Pond 5 or from High Line Canal Trail accessed from Titan Road.  On February 4, Gloria Nikolai and Christian Nune reported Trumpeter Swan from High Line Canal Trail and Titan Road and Hugh Kingery reported Trumpeter Swan from upstream from Kingfisher Bridge.  On February 6, Josh and rachel Destree reported Trumpeter Swan from upstream from Kingfisher Bridge.
---On January 24 at McLellen Reservoir, SE Corner and High Line Canal Trail, Gregg Goodrich reported Dunlin.  On February 4, Ben Sampson and Karen Drozda reported Dunlin at McLellen Reservoir.  McLellen is mostly in Arapahoe County.  On February 5, Ginny Bergstrom reported Dunlin at McLellen Reservoir.  On February 6, Gwen Moore and Edward Done reported Dunlin at McLellen Reservoir.  On February 7 at McLellen Reservoir, Diane Roberts and Pam Zimmer reported Dunlin.  On February 9, Mark Minner-Lee and Gregg Goodrich reported Dunlin at McLellen Reservoir.
---On February 5 at Plum Creek Delta in Chatfield SP, Matt Crooks reported Sage Thrasher.

---On February 3 on Rd 124, Vic Zerbi reported Brown-capped Rosy-Finches at feeders.

---On February 9, JoAnn Potter Riggle reported 3 White-winged Doves in the alley east of the 13th and Grand block in Grand Junction.

---On February 2, Coen Dexter reported 2 swans (ad, juv) at Nucla City Reservoir.

---On February 8 at Hale Ponds, Adam Vesely reported 2 Red-bellied Woodpeckers and Northern Mockingbird.

Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips: 
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, February 11 will be to Delaney Community Farm led by A.J. Gest (offsetaj AT comcast.net303-994-2420).  This trip is full.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, February 12 will be Cherry Creek SP Wetlands Loop led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com; 303=941-4881).  Meet at 0900 at Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek Sp.  From either park entrance, follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is located at the south rim of the reservoir.  Sate Parks pass or day pass required.
    This is a half day of walking that passes through most of the important habitats found in the park over a distance of about 3 miles.  trails could be slippery or muddy, so dress accordingly.  Bring water and snacks; lunch is optional.  Beginning birders are welcome.  Register online or contact leader.
