[cobirds] Northern Larimer County

I went north of Wellington today to see what might be out and about. Driving along the county roads in north Larimer County yielded very little with a couple of dozen Horned larks and no longspurs. Also there were no Snow Buntings and no Redpolls. On the way back to Fort Collins, I stopped at North Pudre Reservoir #3 and found a bonanza of waterfowl. In amongst the 10,000 or so geese, there were approximately 30 Snow Geese and 3-5 Ross Geese. There were also 10 Swans with the breakdown being 6 Tundra Swans and 4 Trumpeter Swans. At least 4 of the Tundra Swans has yellow towards the base of the bill. I did not spot any Brants or Greater White-fronted Geese. There were also thousands of ducks. Both the geese and the ducks, at one point, got stirred up by an eagle which caused me to lose exact count of the Snow Geese. Incidentally the overlook at the Rawhide Power Plant waa closed.
