[cobirds] our first local cranes, Bldr Cnty midday

Hi folks--

Did not have time at noon to get online to ask who else was seeing/hearing cranes. We heard only one or two! They were relatively low or close but we could not locate them here in north central county.

Also saw one of my favorite birds migrating through: Say's Phoebe. And a Wilson's Warbler in the native shrubs, foraging and vocalizing (high-pitched chips) all the while.

Personal landcape: Now known as Boulder County (CO). We nest in shortgrass prairie whose caretakers for centuries were the Hinóno'éí (Arapaho) and Cheyenne Nations. Colorado's Front Range is also home to The Ute & many other Native peoples.
