[cobirds] BCAS Program (Sept 24): Impacts of the East Troublesome Fire on the Birds of RMNP

East Troublesome Fire.jpg
Dr. Jacob Job--a conservationist, science communicator, natural sounds recordist, and nocturnal flight call enthusiast--is the guest speaker at Boulder County Audubon Society's September meeting where he will discuss how severe wildfires impact ecosystems and actions that can mitigate these impacts and promote ecosystem recovery. Dr. Job will focus on the investigations of avian diversity at fives sites within and five sites outside the East Troublesome Fire burn scar.

Please note that prior to Dr. Job's talk, Peyton Jackson, 2024 recipient of a BCAS teen scholarship to the Coastal Maine Bird Studies for Teens Program at Hog Island, will join us via Zoom to provide a report on his experiences in attending the Hog Island birding camp.

Tuesday, September 24, 7:15 – 8:45 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder (5001 Pennsylvania Ave). The meeting is in-person and also can be attended via Zoom.
Zoom details will be available the day of the event.

The presentation will be recorded and posted approximately two weeks after the event.
