[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies- Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station Report- September 9, 2024

A decent bird day was had today which included 21 bird species. A couple new species for the season: Orange-crowned Warbler and Plumbeous Vireo. Orange-crowned Warblers have been observed before today here but not banded.

Ruby-crowned Kinglet- 1
Dusky Flycatcher- 5
Least Flycatcher- 1
Clay-colored Sparrow- 1
Brewer's Sparrow- 1
Vesper Sparrow- 1
Lazuli Bunting- 1
Lesser Goldfinch- 1
Plumbeous Vireo- 1
Cassin's Vireo- 1
Hermit Thrush- 2
Green-tailed Towhee- 3
Western Tanager- 3
Gray Catbird- 3
Northern Mockingbird- 2
Brown Thrasher- 1
American Robin- 7

2 Recaptures
Northern Waterthrush
American Robin

The banding station will be open this week through Saturday from Sunrise until @ 11:30am.
Be sure to sign up on the Aiken Audubon Website (www.aikenaudubon.com) for gaining access to the ranch. 

Stop on by the banding station if you are on the ranch and share your sightings.
