[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Banding Station Report, 9/6/24

A slower morning, as the weather heated up again. But a nice mix of birds, including a Black-headed Grosbeak and a Downy Woodpecker that we banded 2 years ago.  Here's the breakdown of today's 22 new for the season birds:

Downy Woodpecker 1, banded 10/21/22
Dusky Flycatcher 1
Black-capped Chickadee 1
Swainson's Thrush 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 2
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Wilson's Warbler 9
Spotted Towhee 2 (FOS)
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Brewer's Sparrow 1
Black-headed Grosbeak 1

We are banding Tuesday through Sunday mornings (closed Mondays).  There is a public session most weekday mornings from 7:30-8:30, and three time slots on weekends, at 8, 9, and 10 a.m. There is a $7 fee and registration is required – click here to register!

Let me know if you have any questions,
