[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies- Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station Report- September 10, 2024

Another decent day for birds which resulted in us capturing 24 birds species. The bird highlights were Black-headed Grosbeak, American Redstart, and Brewer's Blackbird (male and female). The Northern Waterthrush is still hanging around but still maintaining its fat and weight from the gain it had after its banding date.

Wester Tanager- 3
Yellow-breasted Chat- 1
Gray Catbird- 2
Black-headed Grosbeak- 1
Brewer's Blackbird- 2
Brown Thrasher- 2
American Robin- 1

3 Recaptures
Hermit Thrush
Northern Waterthrush
Dusky Flycatcher

The banding station will be open this week through Saturday from Sunrise until @ 11:30am.
Be sure to sign up on the Aiken Audubon Website (www.aikenaudubon.com) for gaining access to the ranch. 

Stop by the banding station if you are on the ranch and share your sightings.
