We had a very pleasant walk around Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park this beautiful Wednesday morning. Highlights were a male and one or two female Williamson's Sapsuckers and one or more flocks of Western Bluebirds, both species around the western half of the lake.
I've never seen this many Western Bluebirds at once. There were at least eight and possibly more, depending on whether we were seeing more than one flock as we walked around the lake.
