[cobirds] RMBO Barr Banding Station Report, Labor Day

Finished off the holiday weekend with another interesting day of birds and visitors.  Thanks to everyone who came out and shared ideas and enthusiasm about the interesting migration we have had so far.  We continue to see more Townsend’s than usual, in the nets and in the trees.  Another warbler species that seems to be in greater abundance is MacGillivray’s.  I may even get to the point where I can remember how to spell it!  Our FOS warbler species today was a lovely immature male American Redstart.  Here’s today’s breakdown of new captures:

We are CLOSED tomorrow (Tuesday, 9/4).  Otherwise, open every day this week but closing early (~10-10:30) until this heat breaks.  We have a school group on Thursday, arriving about 8:30.  Saturday is the Barr Lake Birding Festival.
