Slow day at Barr……similar to yesterday without the warbler numbers. We did continue this week’s pattern with one rare-ish bird – a HY, male Tennessee Warbler (not many historically, although we had 2 last year), which we got to compare with an Orange-crowned in the next run. Continued to have a wide spectrum of earlier to later migrants – from Yellow Warblers and House Wrens to a Junco (recap, so not listed below). Here’s the break-down of 21 new birds:
Dusky Flycatcher 2
House Wren 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 3
Hermit Thrush 2
Gray Catbird 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Tennessee Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 1
Wilson’s Warbler 4
Song Sparrow 1
Gambel’s White-crowned Sparrow 3
Day off next week is Wednesday. Otherwise open every day, weather permitting.
