[cobirds] RMBO Barr Banding Station Report, 9/14/12

Today started crisp, cool and sunny, there seemed to be lots of birds around, and we were anticipating plenty of action.  But, things were slower than they had been, the big difference being in the number of Wilson’s.  Otherwise, good variety among the 22 birds banded:

Downy Woodpecker      1

Rock Wren          1 (FOS)

Swainson’s Thrush          2

Orange-crowned Warbler            1

Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon’s)     1

Townsend’s Warbler      1

Wilson’s Warbler              9

Chipping Sparrow            3

Song Sparrow    1

Gambel’s White-crowned Sparrow          2

Again, our schedule for the balance of the banding season: Open 6 days a week through Sunday, October 14, weather permitting. Our closed days will be
Wed 9/19, Wed 9/26, Thurs 10/4, and Wed 10/10.
