Adams County:
--A Little Blue Heron in transitional phase plumages was reported by Canter at Lowell Ponds on July 19.  It was along the shore and on the island of Heron Lake.  Lowell Ponds is at 56th and Lowell. On  September 3, Canter reported that the Little Blue Heron was in the pond west of the parking lot.  On September 6, Kibbe reported that the Little Blue Heron was at the pond west of the parking lot on the South side of Clear Creek.  On September 11, Canter  reported that the Little Blue Heron was at the west end of Carl Park pond west of the the parking lot and South of Clear Creek and Gilbert reported that the Little Blue Heron was at Lowell Pond on the pond south of Clear Creek on September 11.  On September 15 Canter reported that the Little Blue Heron was at the west end of the pond west of the parking lot and south of bike path along Clear Creek.  This pond is connected to Carl Park up on the bluff.
--A hatch year m Rose-breasted Grosbeak was banded by McBurney at the Barr Lake Banding station on September 20.

Boulder County:
--A juv Short-billed Dowitcher was reported by Schmoker at Teller Lake #5 (also known as North Teller Lake) in Boulder on September 9.  Gent reported that the Short-billed Dowitcher continues at Teller Lake #5 on September 15.
--A juv Sabine's Gull was reported by Gent on the S shore of Sixmile Reservoir in Boulder on September 15.  Floyd reported juv Sabine's Gull at Sixmile Reservoir on September 18.

Denver County:
--An imm Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported by Roller at Washington Park in Denver on September 17.  It was on the east shore of Grasmere Lake.  Tina Jones reported on September 20 that the Chestnut-sided Warbler continues at Washington Park.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--A breeding plumaged Red-necked Grebe was reported by Walbek at Chatfield SP on September 19.  It was W and N of the handicapped fisherman's pier.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
--At Chico Basin Ranch on September 18, Brown reported that a hatch year Blackpoll Warbler and hatch year BLUE-HEADED VIREO were banded.

Fremont County:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Moss on the Canon City Riverwalk between Sell's Lake and Raynold's Ave on September 17.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Moss flying over Brush Hollow SWA on September 18.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Moss west of 1st St along Riverside Drive on September 20.

Larimer County:
--A Prothonotary Warbler was reported by Cropper on the Big Thompson bike trail in Loveland on September 15.
--2 Blackpoll Warblers were reported by Mammoser on the Poudre River Trail in Fort Collins on September 17.
--A "Western" Palm Warbler was reported by Biggerstaff at the Cobb Lake Unit of Wellington SWA on September 18.  The location is between CR 56 and 58 west of North CR 3.
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Sparks about 500 ft W of the Poudre Bike Trail and North College intersection in Fort Collins.  Take a side link and head south another 400 ft.

Logan County:.
--On the Logan County side of Jumbo on September 16, Mlodinow reported American Golden-Plover.

Logan/Washington Counties:
--At Prewitt on September 15, Mlodinow reported Blackpoll Warbler.

Mesa County:
--A Palm Warbler was reported by Bradley on the Riverfront Trail east of 29 Road in Grand Junction on September 20.

Morgan County:
--At Jackson SP on September 15, Mlodinow reported 2 American Golden-Plovers at the outflow channel, a juv Sabine's Gull, ad Lesser Black-backed Gull, and 2 Chestnut-sided Warblers.  Chavez refound the 2 American Golden-Plovers on September 16.
--A f Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Mlodinow at a ditch on S of Jackson Reservoir on September 20.
--4 American Golden-Plovers and a juv Sabine's Gull were reported by Mlodinow at Jackson SP on September 20.
--A Tennessee Warbler was reported by Mlodinow at Andrick Ponds SWA on September 20.

Phillips County:
--A young Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Mlodinow at Holyoke City Park on September 16.
--Between the city park and the courthouse in Holyoke on September 16, Mlodinow reported ad Broad-winged Hawk and 2 White-throated Sparrows.
--At the Courthouse in Holyoke on September 16, Mlodinow reported Northern Parula.
--At the High School in Holyoke on September 16, Mlodinow reported Blackpoll Warbler and Nashville Warbler.
--Near the Golf Course in Holyoke on September 16, Mlodinow reported Pine Warbler and PHILADELPHIA VIREO.
--At Haxtun City Park on September 16, Mlodinow reported Tennessee Warbler.

Pueblo County:
--At Valco Ponds on September 15, Percival reported PHILADELPHIA VIREO and Northern Parula.
--At Pueblo City Park on September 15, Percival reported 2 Northern Parula, Tennessee Warbler, 1 Summer Tanager and Broad-winged Hawk.
--At Pueblo City Park on September 16, Percival reported 2 Northern Parula along the Frisbee Golf Course near the stone bridge.
--W of Valco Ponds parking lot on September 16, Percival reported Blackpoll Warbler, Black and Eastern Phoebes.

Routt County:
--A Sabine's Gull was reported by Piombino at Stagecoach Reservoir on September 20.

Washington County:
--At the Akron Golf Course on September 15, Mlodinow reported Tennessee Warbler.

Weld County:
--An Ovenbird was reported by Leatherman in the dry creek bed S of the the main picnic shelter at Crow Valley on September 19.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, September 22 will be to Rocky Mountain Arsenal led by Dave Rhoades (303-424-8633).  This is space-limited so call the leader if you want to go.  Meet the leader at 0800 at the Arsenal Visitor's Center, 56th and Havana.  Will bird until 1 pm.  Lunch optional.

A joint trip with Boulder  Bird Club will be to Rocky Mountain National Park on Saturday, September 22 led by Chris Owens (303-772-6048).  Meet at 0800 at the parking lot of Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead, which is approx 2.3 miles from the Beaver Meadows entrance station.  This trip will be mostly on foot through riparian areas.  Trip will wrap up at 2 pm.  Bring lunch, usual protection for sun and variable weather.  

The DFO field trip for Sunday, September 23 will be to Cherry Creek State Park led by Mary Keithler (303-771-1421).  Meet the leader at 0800 at the park Marina for a half day of birding.  Lunch optional;  bring a scope if you have one.
