I had a Black Phoebe at the far west end (west of 1st Street along Riverside Dr) today. I have seen one at this location several times in the past week and occasionally a likely hybrid Black x Eastern Phoebe. Day before yesterday I saw a Black Phoebe at the end of Tunnel Drive Rd where I have also seen one several times in the past week (sorry for late report, I intended to report with the post on the Broad-winged Hawk but my cholesterol meds caused such tiredness I almost fell asleep at my computer, and goofed up the hawk's name). Over last week-end I also had a Black Phoebe on the Canon City Riverwalk between Sell's Lake and Raynolds Ave trailheads. I have posted photos of this last phoebe and another I saw a week ago onto my Birds and Nature blog. Just scroll down past the photos of the tarantula (very big spider). There is a photo below the phoebe photos that I took of a black bear about 75 up a tree--not in some neighborhood with a mob below but in nature just being a bear (very impressive climbing skills).
