[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies Banding Report - Grand Valley Audubon Society, 10/4/19

Today was a relatively uneventful day, with 12 new birds and 4 recaptures, bringing our total of birds banded to 177.  One of the birds that I banded on the very first day at GVAS, a Juniper Titmouse, showed up again - it's nice to see some resident birds sometimes!

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 new 1 recapture
White-crowned Sparrow (Gambel's) 6 new 1 recapture
White-crowned Sparrow (Mountain) 4
Song Sparrow 1
Bewick's Wren 1 recapture
Juniper Titmouse 1 recapture

Hopefully next week's weather brings more birds!  We are open at Connected Lakes State Park M-F until October 11th.  We get birds starting at around 7:45 and close nets around 11:30, depending on weather.  Feel free to stop by - the earlier you come, the more likely you are to see birds!  School groups tend to arrive between 9:30 to 10:00, so I also recommend that visitors come before then.
