[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies Banding Report - Barr Lake, 10/4/19

No wind, no drizzle, no heat, some sunshine - yay!  Caught 34 new birds in a pretty typical morning of all banding:

Red-eyed Vireo 1 (5th of season, most in any year)
House Wren 2
Hermit Thrush 1
Brown Thrasher 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 5
Wilson's Warbler 1
Chipping Sparrow 4
Song Sparrow 3
Lincoln's Sparrow 7
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 6
White-crowned Sparrow, Mountain 2
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

We are now opening nets at 7:40 and should have birds back at the station by 8:20. We are closing nets most days at 11:40. We are open 6 days per week, Tuesday-Sunday, through October 13. All of this is weather permitting! School groups arrive most weekdays at about 9:30. The best time to visit (fewest people, most birds) is before 9:30 weekdays and Sundays.

Come visit!
