We were driving on Saturday afternoon about 4:15 from Boulder to Lyons on U. S. 36 when we spotted a flock of Wild Turkey, about a dozen birds, on the west side of the highway. This was between Nelson Road and St. Vrain Road half way between mile markers 26 and 27. I checked eBird and found very few Wild Turkey reports for Boulder County. This was an interesting way to get a new county bird at 60 mph.
