Hi cobirders. I had a plump House Finch with much Red breast and 3
Lesser Goldfinches hogging the feeder which was only half full. When
a Pine
Warbler tried to get into it from the top and flitted around trying
to chase off the above. Eventually there were 3 Pine Warblers at
once! One was an
immature female. and they were able to get the seeds. Now the others
are back also.
A very clean bright looking White-breasted Nuthatch came, quickly
realized the tiny black seeds were not insects and moved over to the
trunk of the
Russian Olive tree.
A Magpie came and watched the commotion but didn't stay long.
Got to get some things done but will check later.
Bye
Bob Spencer N.E. of Golden
