Chico Basin Ranch Bird Banding

 

During the first half of our second week of fall migration banding at Chico Basin Ranch we have added five new species and 131 more birds, bringing our totals to 369 birds of 35 species.  We had our first Hermit Thrush of the season on Monday and our first Audubon's Warbler on Tuesday.  The much welcomed rain today necessitated an early closing after only about 2 hours.  Tallies for each day are:
