[cobirds] Ridgway State Park Week 1 Banding Report

It has been an exciting week of banding at Ridgway State Park, and I'm sorry that we only have a couple more days before things get wrapped up.  Please visit the Black Canyon Audubon Society Facebook page to see photos of the highlights (www.facebook.com/BlackCanyonAudubon).  We have captured a total of 130 individuals from 22 species.  We have caught an average of 19 birds per day, and we continue to add 1 or 2 new species every day.  The breakdown (in numerical and alphabetical order) is as follows:

Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler: 41
Wilson's Warbler: 22
House Wren: 12
Song Sparrow: 10
Lincoln's Sparrow: 9
MaGillivray's Wabler: 9
Gray Catbird: 4
Black-capped Chickadee: 3
Green-tailed Towhee: 3
Orange-crowned Warbler: 3
House Finch: 2
Red-naped Sapsucker: 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 1
Dusky Flycatcher: 1
Fox Sparrow: 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet: 1
Hermit Thrush: 1
Mountain Chickadee: 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet: 1
Steller's Jay: 1
Warbling Vireo: 1
