Adams County:
--A Little Blue Heron in transitional phase plumages was reported by Canter at Lowell Ponds on July 19.  It was along the shore and on the island of Heron Lake.  Lowell Ponds is at 56th and Lowell.  On August 13, Gilbert reported that the Little Blue Heron was along the shore of the island in Heron Lake.  On August 16 Mlodinow reported the Little Blue Heron was along the shore of Heron Lake.  On August 23, Gilbert reported that the Little Blue Heron was at the west end of Lowell Ponds in a pond near the parking lot.  On August 24, Canter reported that the Little Blue Heron was at the west end of Heron Lake.  On August 27, Hudak reported that the Little Blue Heron was in the pond west of the parking lot.  On August 28, Mayfield reported that the Little Blue Heron was in a pond W of the Lowell Parking lot and South of Clear Creek.   On August 29, Chavez reported that the Little Blue Heron was in the pond on the left from the parking lot on the S side of the river.  On  September 3, Canter reported that the Little Blue Heron was in the pond west of the parking lot.  On September 6, Kibbe reported that the Little Blue Heron was at the pond west of the parking lot on the South side of Clear Creek.

Arapahoe County:
--On the fall Count at Cherry Creek SP, Teuton reported Caspian Tern, 3 juv Sabine's Gulls, and a Nashville Warbler near the picnic area by the swim beach on September 8.

Boulder County:
--A 1st fall Blackpoll Warbler was reported by Severs along Boulder Creek west of 75th St in Boulder on September 6.
--An EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported by the Such boys on September 6.  It was on the river beween Black Bear Hole and McConnell Drive Ponds in Lyons.
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was observed on the Indian Peaks Fall Count in the Ward area on September 8 as reported by Kaempfer.
--3 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Floyd at Brainard Lake on September 8.
--A juv Short-billed Dowitcher was reported by Schmoker at Teller Lake #5 (also known as North Teller Lake) in Boulder on September 9.

Douglas County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Huffstater in Louviers on September 6.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--2 Caspian Terns (1ad 1 juv) were reported by Drummond on the marina sand spit at Chatfield on September 6.
--On the fall count at Chatfield SP, Kellner reported 1 "western" Palm Warbler and 2 Sabine's Gulls (1 ad, 1 imm) off the Marina Sandspit on September 8.

El Paso County:
--A Green Heron was found on the Fountain Creek RP Fall Bird Count on September 8.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
--At Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) on September 5, Bill Maynard reported:
Wood Thrush in cleared lanes around the banding station, Northern Waterthrush at Bell Grove, and 2 Chichuahuan Ravens on the El Paso side.
--At Chico Basin Ranch banding station on September 6, Brown reported Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, and 2 Curve-billed Thrashers were banded.

Jefferson County:
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Faulkner on the Van Bibbler Trail in Arvada on August 25.  The Trail Parking lot is on the W side of Ward Road about 1/4 mi S of 58th Ave.  The SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was refound by Sanders on August 26 and on August 27 by Kilpatrick in the location described by Faulkner.  The SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Wathen and Burt on the Van Bibbler Trail on August 28.  On August 29, the Boulder Bird Club and Ira Sanders saw the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher at 8:45, then Lowrie et al observed it again at 11:00 to 11:30 on the north side of the Van Bibber Trail east of the yellow hydrant.  On September 1, Smart reported the SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER on the fence at the Van Bibbler Trail.  On September 4, Lowrie reported the SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER at Van Bibbler Park.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Henwood on September 4 at Bear Creek Lake Park.  It was near the inlet.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Kingery  in underbrush on Roxborough Park Road on the Waterton Count on September 8.

Larimer County:
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Biggerstaff at Prospect Ponds Natural Area on September 4.  The parking lot is at the end of Sharp Point Drive.  The vireo was in trees between the bike path and river after following the trail around the bend from the parking lot.
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Jim Nelson near the intersection of Mary's Lake Road and Morraine Ave in Estes Park on September 9.
--At Lake Estes on September 9, Rashid reported a f Black-and-white Warbler and m YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER at the area called Catbird Corner and an ad m CONNECTICUT WARBLER in the area called Chat Flats.  

Logan/Washington Counties:
--On the Logan County side of Prewitt on September 9, Mlodinow reported 2 juv Ruddy Turnstones.
--On the Washington County side of Prewitt on September 9, Mlodinow reported a f Black-throated Blue Warbler.

Morgan County:
--On September 5 at Jackson SWA, Gillilan reported 3 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS.
--On September 7 at Jackson SWA, Bell reported 1 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER.  
--On September 8 at Jackson SWA, King reported 1 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER.
--On September 9 at Jackson SP, Mlodinow reported a PHILADELPHIA VIREO.

Ouray County:
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Kent Nelson around Blue Lakes on September 6.

Phillips County:
--At Holyoke City Park on September 8, Mlodinow reported ALDER FLYCATCHER and Magnolia Warbler.
--At Holyoke Cemetery on September 8, Mlodinow reported Black-and-white Warbler.
--At the Lions Fishing Hole in Holyoke on September 8, Mlodinow reported Ovenbird.

Prowers County:
--At Lamar Community College Woods on September 7, Leatherman reported 1 first fall f Chestnut-sided Warbler, 1 BLUE-HEADED VIREO, 1 Ovenbird, 1 fall male Magnolia Warbler, 2 Carolina Wren (1 juv), 1 Northern Cardinal (juv).

Pueblo County:
--At Pueblo City Park on September 6 near the Frisbee Golf Course, Percival reported 1 Tennessee Warbler and 1 Ovenbird.
--At Pueblo City Park on September 7, Percival reported 1 singing male Northern Parula and 1 Ovenbird.

Sedgwick County:
--At Jumbo Reservoir on September 8, Mlodinow reported BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER and Chestnut-sided Warbler.

Weld County:
--At Crow  Valley on September 7, Righter reported Magnolia Warbler in juniper in SW corner and Black-and-white Warbler.

Yuma County:
--At Stalker Pond in Wray on September 8, Mlodinow reported Bell's Vireo and Northern Cardinal.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, September 22 will be to Rocky Mountain Arsenal led by Dave Rhoades (303-424-8633).  This is space-limited so call the leader if you want to go.  Meet the leader at 0800 at the Arsenal Visitor's Center, 56th and Havana.  Will bird until 1 pm.  Lunch optional.

A joint trip with Boulder  Bird Club will be to Rocky Mountain National Park on Saturday, September 22 led by Chris Owens (303-772-6048).  Meet a 0800 at the parking lot of Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead, which is approx 2.3 miles from the Beaver Meadows entrance station.  This trip will be mostly on foot through riparian areas.  Trip will wrap up at 2 pm.  Bring lunch, usual protection for sun and variable weather.  

The DFO field trip for Sunday, September 23 will by to Cherry Creek State Park led by Mary Keithler (303-771-1421).  Meet the leader at 0800 at the park Marina for a half day of birding.  Lunch optional;  bring a scope if you have one.
