Sorry for the late post and abbreviations - but hurrying. We had NO cell phone coverage and NOBODY else around today when we had news to share. Also - so many birds we didn't finish until 200. Full report to follow.
Anyhow - we had a very slow start in the cool, dark and moist morning, but a fallout arrived about 930. All sort of warblers but especially - CONNECTICUT WARBLER female hatch-year banded, No. Waterthrush adult, Black-and-White Warbler adult male, lots of Wilson's Warbler, of course, several MacGillivray's Warblers. Also several various empids - Dusky, Least, Hammond's Flycatchers, Cassin's Vireo, and at about 1130, several tanagers including one with no wing bars! A SCARLET TANAGER, hatch year male. Probably more good stuff, I just forget. About 80 birds were banded, mostly after 930, when we usually die down in numbers.
I'll try to get photos up to a website soon.
Good hunting and Happy Migration!
