I'll just toss out this COBirds-friendly piece of advice for anyone in a similar situation: photos of unknown birds (and other living things) can be posted to iNaturalist, where both the AI algorithm and the human community are great at producing identifications.
iNat is also a place where you can get ID suggestions for unknown audio files. Same with xeno-canto.org.
