[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Lake Banding Station 9/17/25

It had rained hard last night at Barr so the nets were dripping when we arrived this morning.  But, the sun was coming up, the clouds were gone and Wilson's Warblers were chipping in the bushes; we were thinking perhaps a good morning, so we were disappointed with our day's captures of only 7 new and 3 recaptures.  All Wilson's.  We did have a great group of visitors from RPG Resources, who enjoyed all 10 of our captures and who can now age and sex WIWAs like pros!

You too can become an expert on Wilson's Warblers........Come visit!  Our visitor hours: Weekends we are running 3 sessions, at 8, 9, and 10 a.m.  Most weekdays (Tues through Fri) there is a 7:30 to 8:30 session.   These are small group sessions (15 or fewer visitors), and a great way to learn more about the species that move through the front range in the fall.  There is a $7 fee and registration is required - click here to register.
