[cobirds] Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station- Bird Conservancy of the Rockies-9/19/2025

If you looked at Birdcast migration flight overnight it was pretty heavy migration for Colorado. A few birds decided to drop in at Chico Basin Ranch instead of keep on flying south. The Ruby-throated Hummingbird male was observed early this morning but had not been seen afterwards. He probably moved south or elsewhere. The two Hermit Thrush recaptures today gained almost 2 grams from yesterday. Do not know why they are hanging around. They appear to be in good fat and weight condition for migration. We caught a handsome adult MacGillivray's Warbler today.
