With a Northerly wind until mid-morning I was hopeful for some birds to drop into the olive grove. Seventeen bird species were captured including four new species for the season: Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler, Blue Jay, Song Sparrow, and Vesper Sparrow. Vesper Sparrows are beautiful. There are still a few stragglers of Western Wood-Pewee, a nice looking adult male Western Tanager, and MacGillivray's Warblers around.

Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow- 11

Western Tanager- 1

American Robin- 2

Blue Jay- 1

Recaptured Hermit Thrush from Saturday- gained .7gram of weight

FYI- Friday morning there is a large school group of elementary students so keep that in mind if birding around the banding station- you may want to bird there before 9:30am.
