—-On May 30 a (m) Scarlet Tanager flew over a private home in Gunbarrel, as reported by Mike Patterson. This has been a banner year for tanagers, with more Scarlet Tanagers reported to eBird than in previous years.
—-On May 29 a LAUGHING GULL was reported from Lagerman Agricultural Preserve—Lagerman Reservoir by Barbara Brown.
—-On May 30 a Palm Warbler was reported from Pleasant View Marsh; first reported by Ernest Crvich on May 28.
DOUGLAS COUNTY:
—-On May 29 a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was found near 355 Willow Lake Dr by Urling Kingery.
EL PASO:
—-On May 29 a CONNECTICUT WARBLER was found at Clear Spring Ranch by Alan Ketchum and reported by Brandon Percival.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
—-On May 30 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Main Reservoir; first reported on May 29 by Rob Raker.
—-On May 29 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at the Farmers Highline Canal Trail—Pierce St to Westminster Blvd by James McCall.
—-On May 29 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Arvada Blunn Reservoir by Josh Lefever.PUEBLO COUNTY:
—-On May 28 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported at Chatfield State Park/Audubon Center & Trails; first reported by Claire H on May 27.
LARIMER COUNTY:
—-On May 29 a COMMON GALLINULE was reported from Wellington SWA—Schware Unit. Present for a full month now, it was first seen by Josh Bruening on April 29 at the pond north of Larimer CR 60. Drive about 1/4 mile east of Morris Reservoir, to the pond at the east end of hedgerows, on the north side of the road.
—-On May 27 a Mourning Warbler was reported at Dixon Reservoir by Robert Beauchamp.
PHILLIPS COUNTY:
—-On May 26 a Yellow-throated Vireo was reported at Haxtun City Park by Thomas Holub.
PITKIN COUNTY:
—-On May 31 a Baltimore Oriole was reported along Hwy 133 north of Redstone by Mary Harris.
PUEBLO COUNTY:
—-On May 31 an ARCTIC TERN was reported from Chico Basin Ranch by John Drummond.
—-On May 30 a long-staying Yellow-throated Warbler was reported at Roselawn Cemetery in Blende, near the west entrance off Aspen Street. First reported on May 11 by Evan Carlson.
—-On May 30 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported from Arkansas River near Reservoir Rd; first reported May 28 by Rick Clawges.
—-On May 29 a Least Bittern was heard at Nepesta Marsh by David Suddjian.
—-On May 28 a Chestnut-Sided Warbler was reported from Goodnight River Trail by Jim Merritt.
—On May 28 a Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported from Arkansas River Trail, east of Pueblo Blvd.
PROWERS COUNTY:
—-On May 29 an (imm) ZONE-TAILED HAWK was reported by Eric DeFonso from Lamar Community College.
—-On May 27 a WHITE-TAILED KITE was photographed by Jill White Smith near Prowers CRs 31 and KK. It then flew away to the north. The message was relayed by Cathy Sheeter. If accepted by the CBRC, this would be the first Colorado record documented with a photograph.
ROUTT COUNTY:
—-On May 27 a Prothonotary Warbler was reported behind the Yampa River Botanic Park, between the Core Trail gate into the park and the Osprey nest pole. First reported on May 22 by Dave and Ann Jones.
WELD COUNTY:
—-On May 29 a Magnolia Warbler was reported at Crow Valley Campground. First reported by Laura Steadman on May 26.
YUMA COUNTY:
—-On May 28 a Mourning Warbler was reported at Wray City Park by Steve Mlodinow.
—-On May 26 an EASTERN MEADOWLARK was reported southwest of the CR3 /Hwy 385 Intersection. First reported on May 12 by David Dowell.
