Kathleen McGinley and I have changed our call of the Hudsonian Godwits reported in Mesa County on Oct. 5. We were birding in steady rain, and when the birds landed it seemed like the bills were definitely upturned. However, as we have reviewed blown up photos, shorebird guides, and our notes, the correct ID should be Long-billed Dowitchers. With egg on my face,
