Today, we picked through the redpoll hoards at Discovery Museum with multiple other birders. In the morning, we had a pretty good Hoary candidate, but the bonus for all in attendance was a flock of 35 Bohemian Waxwings. They did a few laps around the area before settling into the cottonwoods for about 10-15 minutes. Eight Cedar Waxwings came through later in the afternoon.
Dress warm!
