[cobirds] Sandhill Cranes - Boulder County

A flock of about 50 cranes thermalled (kettled) and then continued
south seen while riding at about 130p near 66th and St. Vrain Road.
Another sign of fall.

A bit later riding by McCall Lake - Hwy 66 and 61rst(?) - a couple of
noisy Killdeer caught my attention.  Within a few feet of the
Killdeer, was a wading and feeding Long-billed Dowitcher (juv, we
think), fairly close and acting quite tame.
