On Thursday 10/25, I had good looks (but no photo) at an imm golden-crowned
sparrow on my back porch (full of seed) and back yard grass. The feeding
mix of birds included five Eurasian collard doves, a mourning dove, 10-12
wh-cr sparrows, 8 juncos, 5-12 (various times) house sparrows, three blue
jays, two black-c chickadeees and, unfortunately, two squirrels.
Many of the same birds were there yesterday, but I 1) didn't refind the
golden-cr, but 2) wasn't home much. Will keep looking.
