After missing all the fun birds at Flagler SWA, I was rather disheartened, though a calling CHIHUAHUAN RAVEN there was a surprise. It came in calling, and I was able to swing it back in my direction by imitating it, until two crows (giving nice size comparison) came along to drive it off.
In the town of Flagler, there was flock of 20 or so RED CROSSBILLS, seemingly type 5, that exploded from pine trees near the school.
Both locations had one WW Junco each, as well.
At Kinny SWA s. of Hugo in Lincoln, there was a SEDGE WREN in the tall grass near the water on the reservoir's nw. side. Also present was a HARRIS'S SPARROW and my FOF NORTHERN SHRIKE (and another WW Junco)
Lastly, just s. of Hugo, near an abandoned house, there was a BROWN THRASHER, likely my last of season
