I spotted a dark morph Harlan's Hawk near the Arkansas River at the Raynold's Street bridge on Friday. It interacted with a typical Red-tailed Hawk that I suspect was a resident letting this visitor know this territory was taken. I have posted a photo on my Birds and Nature blog as it flew high above.
A local resident forwarded a photo of a Northern Bobwhiteas well as a small flock of pinyon jays seen in the Canon City area this week .
