Full report to follow, 22 birds banded today at the RMBO banding station at Chico Basin Ranch.
Slow and steady all morning in the cold, but despite the passage of the strong cold front, there was no big fallout like we might have hoped. Most obvious were the Hermit Thrush in the understory, and assorted warblers in the canopy, including Townsend's and Audubon's. Bird-of-the-Day was the Eastern Phoebe I got to band - our second in three days. We think the last one banded at CBR was in 2002.
FYI - We will be dismantling the station for the season tomorrow afternoon because of the poor weather forecast for Saturday.
Good birding,
