A quick walk around Manitou Lake, Teller County:

Common Mergansers (family of 6 plus one other individual)

California Gull, 2
Broad-tailed Hummingbird, 4
Belted Kingfisher
Red-naped Sapsucker, bringing food to nest cavity
Cordilleran Flycatcher, pair, carrying food in turns
American Crow, carrying food and being chased by RW Blackbirds
Tree Swallows
Violet-green Swallows
Barn Swallows feeding nestlings
Yellow Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Song Sparrow
Red-naped Sapsucker taking food to nestlings in tree cavity. Thank you to visiting birder from Midwest!
Red-wing Blackbirds
Common Grackles feeding fledglings.
Most fun find : two beaver babies, and one adult.
There were probably more species but could only spend a short time at lake.
