This afternoon, around 1:30, there was an interesting goose resting with the flock of Canada Geese at Prospect Ponds, SE corner of Prospect and Sharp Point Dr. in Fort Collins. I'm guessing that it was a Canada x Snow, though I'm new to sorting this kind of thing out. It appeared to have the body of a Canada Goose, except the breast seemed brighter, and it appeared to have the head of a Snow Goose, though there was black streaking on the head, particularly on the back. The neck and head were not slender like the Canada, but more "stocky" like a Snow. The bill was not orange, but I didn't get great looks at it because the bird mostly had its head tucked while I was there. I did get a few, though awful, digi-photo shots through my scope: https://picasaweb.google.com/105742165113837247842/InterestingGooseProspectPonds#
